2. What we collect
When you send an enquiry: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, your message, how you heard about us, and any photo of your shirt you choose to attach.
When you tell us you have posted your shirt: your name and email address, the tracking number and the day you posted it, what you have sent us, the date you need it back by if you give one, and the address to send your frame back to.
When you book a London collection: your name, email address, phone number and postcode, and how you would like your item to travel.
When you join our mailing list: your email address and where you signed up.
When you place an order: your delivery address, the details of your order and design, our correspondence with you, and invoice records. This website takes no payments and stores no card details.
3. How we use it and our legal basis
To reply to your enquiry, design your frame and fulfil your order: this is necessary to take steps at your request before a contract and to carry out our contract with you.
To send you news and offers by email: only with your consent, which you give by ticking the opt-in box or joining our mailing list. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email.
To see how people find and use our website, so we can improve it: this is in our legitimate interests, and you can turn it off at any time (see Cookies below).
To keep accounting and tax records: this is a legal obligation.
To keep a record of past work so we can handle repeat orders, warranty questions and returning customers: this is in our legitimate interests as a bespoke framing business.
4. Photographs of finished work
We are proud of what we make and often photograph finished frames for our gallery and social media. We do not publish your name or contact details alongside them. If your item is personal, or you would simply prefer we did not share it, tell us at any point and we won’t.
5. Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run the business, and only as far as they need it to do their job: our email and secure data storage provider, our email newsletter provider (only if you have opted in), our website hosting and security provider, our analytics provider, our delivery partners (your name, address and contact number, so your frame reaches you), and our accountants and accounting software provider. Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law. You can ask us at any time for details of the providers we use.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and customer records for six years. For orders, this matches the period we are required to keep financial records. For enquiries, it is because many of our customers return to us a year or more after first getting in touch, often when buying a gift. Mailing list subscribers are kept until they unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, and we will do so unless the law requires us to keep it.
7. Cookies
Cookies are small files a website keeps in your browser. This website uses:
- Analytics (names starting _ga): set by our analytics provider when you visit. They count visits and show us which pages are used and how people found us; they don’t tell us who you are, and they are not used for advertising. They last up to 2 years.
- Mailing list (psf_subscribed): set only when you join our mailing list, so you don’t see the sign-up pop-up again. It lasts 2 years.
- Your analytics choice (psf_consent): set only if you turn analytics off, so it stays off. It lasts 12 months.
Your browser also keeps a note of when you last closed the sign-up pop-up and how long you have been on the site, so the pop-up doesn’t keep appearing. These notes never leave your device.
You can turn analytics off at any time: . You can also delete or block cookies in your browser’s settings.
8. Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent to marketing at any time. Email enquiries@premiershirtframing.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, though we would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
